Built for apartments

We don't drill, we don't pull cable, we don't ask your landlord.

Lightwave APX is wireless from end to end. No installer pulling wires through your walls. No coax to chase. No permission slip required.

Most apartment dwellers are locked into whichever cable or DSL company wired up the building 20 years ago. The wires are already in the walls, the contract's already negotiated with the property owner, and you get whatever they decided to sell. Lightwave APX skips that.

We deliver a wireless signal directly to your apartment. A small receiver inside your unit picks it up, plugs into a router we provide, and you're online. Move out, the receiver comes with us. Nothing to patch, nothing to explain to the landlord.

Routed through MGMIX

Your TikTok loads faster because of how we route, not just how we connect.

Most apartment internet goes the long way. A packet leaves your phone, leaves Centreville, and travels to Atlanta or Dallas before it ever reaches the server it's looking for. Then it travels all the way back. Every page load, every video, every scroll, that round trip happens.

We don't route that way. Alabama Lightwave peers directly at MGMIX, the Montgomery Internet Exchange, on the same fabric as Meta, Hurricane Electric, the State of Alabama, and major content networks. For the apps your apartment uses most (Facebook, Instagram, YouTube, the streaming services), your packets get there in one short hop instead of a long highway trip.

That's why Lightwave APX feels faster than the speed number on paper. The connection isn't just faster downloads, it's a shorter route to the things you actually use.

Big-network performance. Small-town pricing.

Local support

An American answers. Usually one you've met.

We're locals like you. We live here, work here, and play here. When you need help, you can message us on Facebook, call our office, send an email, or walk straight into 38 Court Square West in downtown Centreville. No phone tree, no overseas script, no week-long ticket queue.

Office hours are 9am to 5pm CDT, Monday through Friday. After hours, message us on Facebook and we'll get back to you. Apartments are quick to support because the install is wireless, so when something acts up, it's usually a quick fix.

Apartment-living questions, answered.

  • Which apartment buildings is Lightwave APX available in?

Today: Countrywood, Gables Crossing, Hunter Pointe, and Brantwood, all in Centreville. We're adding buildings as fast as property managers say yes. If you live in another community and want us there, tell your property manager to call us.

  • How much does it cost?

$65 a month, all in. That price includes taxes, fees, and regulatory recovery. The number you sign at is the number you pay every month. A $99 deposit gets you set up. No contract, no early termination, cancel any time.

  • What speeds do I get?

Typical download speeds run 50 to 200 mbps depending on the building and your apartment's location inside it. Upload is 5 to 10 mbps. Plenty of capacity for a household streaming, gaming, working from home, and everything in between.

  • Is there a data cap?

No. Unlimited data on every Lightwave APX connection. No throttling at peak hours, no overage fees, no surprise letters from us.

  • Will my landlord let me install this?

Yes, because there's nothing to install on their end. Lightwave APX is fully wireless from our equipment to your apartment. No drilling, no mounting, no coax run, no exterior wiring. We don't need permission from your property manager to bring service into your unit.

  • Is there a contract?

No. Month to month, every month. If you move out or move on, cancel any time. No early-termination fee, no penalty, no fine print waiting six months in.

  • Do I need to bring my own router?

No. Standard install includes a Lightwave-provided WiFi router that's set up and tested before we leave. Want to use your own router? Plug it in, we'll help you make it work.

  • How fast can I get connected?

Usually within a week of signing up if your building is already on our network. Same-day or next-day install is sometimes possible when our schedule allows.

  • What if I move from one Lightwave APX building to another?

We move with you. As long as the new address is in a building we serve, we transfer your service over without resetting the deposit. Call us a few days before the move.

  • What kind of support do you offer?

Local, no scripts, no overseas call center. Office hours are 9am to 5pm CDT Monday through Friday. You can also walk into our office at 38 Court Square West in downtown Centreville. Or message us on Facebook. Or email. Or call. We pick up.

  • How does Lightwave APX compare to AT&T, Spectrum, or T-Mobile Home Internet?

No data caps, no contracts, no introductory pricing that doubles. Local installation and support. Built specifically for apartment buildings. The bill at the end of the month is the bill you signed up for, every month.
