Static IP included. Priority local support. No contracts.

Built for how Alabama does business.

Three kinds of operation. One network designed for all of them.

  • Storefront and POS

Card terminals that work at the lunch rush.

The POS freezes at noon and the line goes out the door. Square can't connect. The cameras lose their feed. The cable company's number rings to a script in another time zone.

Plenty of headroom for a typical storefront, with a static IP for your cameras and your card terminal. When something goes sideways, you call us. An American answers. Usually the same crew that installed the radio.

    Recommended Essential or Plus
  • Heavy data and multi-site

    Backups, big files, no downtime.

Daily backups to the cloud. Large files moving between locations. The kind of operation where thirty minutes of downtime is a real number on the P&L.

Red carpet treatment. We deliver the fastest connection our network can run to your address. SLA available on MAX, backed by a phone that gets answered in minutes, not days.

    Recommended MAX

Pick a plan that fits your operation.

Speeds up to a gigabit, based on what your address can run. Static IP, priority local support, and unlimited data on every plan.

*Estimated capacity. Actual speeds depend on connection type. Symmetric speeds are available on microcell connections with line-of-sight to the tower. FCC Broadband Facts available for each plan.

Built in for business.

Four things every Alabama Lightwave business plan includes. No add-on fees.

  • Static IP, included

A clean public IPv4 address on every business plan. Yours to use for VPN, cameras, mail relays, port forwarding, anything you need.

  • Priority local support

Business calls jump the queue. Office hours, after-hours, weekends. An American answers, usually the same crew that put your radio on the roof.

  • No overage fees, ever

Unlimited data on every business plan. Nothing throttled. Nothing metered. The bill at the end of the month is the bill you signed up for.

  • SLA on MAX

Lightwave Business MAX comes with a written service-level agreement. Defined uptime, defined response time, signed by us, enforceable by you.

An Alabama Lightwave wireless tower at dusk.

Local towers. Local crew. Local accountability.

We don't outsource. The technician on your roof and the voice on the phone work for the same shop in Centreville.

Priority local support comes standard on every business plan. SLA available on MAX. When something breaks, you call (205) 809-9051 and a real person picks up. No phone tree. No overseas script. Usually the same crew that mounted your radio.

And when the power's out for the block, our towers stay up on battery and generator. The network keeps running while everybody else is waiting on the utility.

Alabama, not Boston

Fiber's fine for Boston. This is Alabama.

Fiber was built for cities laid out on a grid. Trenched into a sidewalk, tied to a pole. It works fine in Boston. Down here, the math doesn't add up. Cletus is out there with a shovel. Leroy didn't call 811. Tornado season takes down the aerial drops. Every spring another pine pulls a line out of a tree. Every one of those events costs your business real money.

We don't fight any of that. Our signal goes through the air, tower to home. Some radios punch right through the tree canopy. Others want a cleaner shot to the tower. Either way, no buried lines, no aerial drop, no copper for thieves, no day-long outage because somebody snagged a duct.

And we route Alabama-first. We peer at MGMIX, our state's own internet exchange in Montgomery. Your packets touch Alabama soil before they touch Atlanta's, on the same fabric as Meta, Hurricane Electric, and the State of Alabama.

Buying internet from Alabama Lightwave is an investment in local resiliency.

Competitive speed. None of fiber's drawbacks.

Lightwave vs. fiber providers

Business questions, answered straight.

  • Do you offer a service-level agreement (SLA)?

Yes, on Lightwave Business MAX. Defined uptime target, defined response time, written into the agreement. Essential and Plus tiers come with priority local support but no formal SLA.

  • Is a static IP included?

Yes. Every Alabama Lightwave business plan includes a static IPv4 address. If you need a block of addresses or a VPN-ready configuration, tell us up front and we'll quote it.

  • What does support look like after hours?

Office hours are 9am to 5pm CDT. Outside those hours, business customers reach an on-call technician through the same number. An American answers, usually within minutes.

  • Will it work with my POS, VoIP phones, and VPN?

Yes to all three. POS terminals, Square, NCR, Toast, all fine. VoIP works well over our traffic-shaped network. VPN connections work because we give you a clean public IP, no double-NAT.

  • Can you install at a rental or multi-tenant building?

Most of the time, yes. We need permission from the landlord to mount a small antenna outside and run a single cable inside. We have a one-page letter that explains the install and answers the questions a landlord usually asks.

  • Do you offer contract pricing for a year or longer?

We don't lock anyone in. Month to month, by design. If you need a long-term commitment for procurement reasons, ask us. We'll figure it out.

  • How fast can you turn up new service?

Standard turn-up is under a week from when you sign. Faster if you're already in range of a tower we cover. If you're opening a new location and need a specific cutover date, we plan around it.

  • What if the building loses power?

Our towers run on battery with generator backup, so the network stays up across the block when the grid goes down. The equipment inside your building still needs power, so if you want full uptime through an outage, put a UPS on the radio and switch. We can recommend the right one.

See if we can reach you.

Check your address. If we cover you, we'll have your business online in under a week. If we don't yet, we'll let you know.
