Downtown tower, real local coverage.
The Smiley Face water tower gives us a practical high point in the middle of town. Coverage is strongest where the tower path is clean, and we verify that before install.
Butler, Alabama
Butler internet from the Smiley Face water tower downtown. Upgraded by Alabama Lightwave with private money, local labor, and a straight answer before anyone climbs a roof.
Coverage is per address, not per town. Real numbers before you sign.
Butler is on the air today. Our equipment lives on the Smiley Face water tower downtown, serving homes, businesses, town facilities, and nearby addresses where the tower path works.
Alabama Lightwave came to Butler by acquiring Wolf Broadband, a local Choctaw County network built by Choctaw County native Jason Jimerson. The Bibb Voice covered the acquisition when we brought the system under the Alabama Lightwave name.
Since then, we have been upgrading Butler with private money and Alabama labor. No federal grant victory lap. No swamp money. Just radios, tower work, better routing, cleaner support, and a Centreville office that answers the phone.
The Butler network starts downtown on the Smiley Face water tower. We check every address against that tower path before we promise service. If the signal works at your roof, we install a small outdoor radio, bring the line inside, and set up the Wi-Fi.
The Smiley Face water tower gives us a practical high point in the middle of town. Coverage is strongest where the tower path is clean, and we verify that before install.
We entered Butler by purchasing Wolf Broadband in 2024, then started upgrading the network with Alabama Lightwave equipment, support, and operating standards.
Some competitors needed taxpayer money before rural Alabama was worth their time. Butler did not wait on that. We expanded and upgraded with private money, tower work, and local labor.

Coverage is address-by-address. Send us the exact location and we will tell you what the tower can deliver there.

Built by neighbors
One of our employees understands Choctaw County and lived for years nearby in Pennington. That matters when you are trying to serve a town the national providers treat like a spreadsheet row. We know the roads, the tree lines, the towers, and the difference between a promise and a working install.

Read the fine print
Before you compare us to a grant-fed fiber company or a big utility broadband plan, read the real bill. Router rentals, recovery fees, promo pricing, contract traps, and other nonsense have no place here.
A home internet plan should include the router that makes home Wi-Fi work. We do not turn basic equipment into a monthly rental game.
Residential plans start at $55 a month and business plans start at $100. Unlimited data, no contract, standard installation included, and no surprise line items after you sign up.
Built by Alabamians
We did not need a federal grant parade to upgrade Butler. Alabama Lightwave bought the local network, put private money into it, and got to work. Rural internet does not need another press conference. It needs neighbors solving problems.
Same network engineering everywhere we serve. Built for Alabama, not for Boston.
Your connection stays close to home first. We hand traffic off in Montgomery, at Alabama's own internet hub, instead of dragging every click through Atlanta before it comes back. Shorter trip. Less nonsense. Better internet.
Our Butler equipment lives on the Smiley Face water tower downtown. From there we serve homes, shops, offices, and town facilities one address at a time.
We bought the old Wolf Broadband network, then put Alabama Lightwave money and labor into the upgrade. No grant waiting room. No taxpayer-funded excuse.
LibreQOS runs on every Lightwave tower. It shapes traffic in real time and kills bufferbloat, so your call stays smooth even when somebody's pulling down a huge game in the next room.
Start with what your home or business needs. We will confirm what your address can actually run before install.
Affordable internet for fixed-income, low-income, and senior households.
Solid internet for everyday stuff. Browsing, email, streaming on one or two screens.
Built for busy households. Remote work, HD streaming, kids online, all happening at once.
Everything, all at once. 4K on three TVs, gaming, Zoom calls. The whole circus.
Small shop, home office, retail. Enough speed to keep things moving.
POS systems, cloud apps, multiple employees online. Built for that.
Heavy usage, multiple locations, no room for downtime. This is the one.
*Estimated capacity. Actual speeds depend on connection type, distance, trees, and install height from the Butler tower. FCC Broadband Facts available for each plan.
