Thorsby runs through our Robinson's Garage tower on Jones Street, fed from the Jemison water tank. It is one feed into Thorsby today, but it rides behind a redundant Jemison network. If Chilton County fiber gets cut in Jemison, Thorsby traffic can still leave through Jemison's wireless backup to our Six Mile tower in Bibb County. Redundancy through the air.
Our Thorsby tower sits at Robinson’s Garage on Jones Street. From there, we have solid coverage for addresses across Thorsby, including Franklin Street, Howard Street, Cherokee Road, Indiana Avenue, and nearby roads outside town limits.
If your house has line of sight to the tower, meaning you can see it from the property, we can deliver gigabit symmetrical speed. If trees are in the way, we still have fast service options, with many homes seeing speeds in excess of 300 Mbps.
Thorsby is fed from our Jemison water tank. Jemison has redundant paths, including a wireless backup to our Six Mile tower in Bibb County. If a backhoe, a storm, or a bad day takes out Chilton fiber in Jemison, Thorsby can stay online through the air.

Live weather camera
Thorsby does not have its own Alabama Lightwave weather camera yet. Severe weather coverage comes through the nearby Jemison camera on the Church Street water tank, installed with WBRC and Chief Meteorologist Wes Wyatt. WBRC uses that feed during long-form tornado coverage, and Alabama Lightwave customers and verified first responders can watch it in the Lightwave LINK app.
