All-in pricing. No contracts. In Bibb, Chilton, and Choctaw counties.

Built for the way you actually live.

Three kinds of households. One network designed for all of them.

  • The rural household

Long driveway. Big trees. Real internet anyway.

DSL tops out at 8 megs and goes down with every storm. Satellite lag breaks video calls. The cell hotspot throttles after twenty gigs.

We mount a small antenna on your roof and link it to the nearest Lightwave tower. Some of our radios punch right through the tree canopy. Others want a cleaner shot. Either way, no buried lines, no aerial drop to come down with the pines.

    Recommended Essential or Plus
  • The whole circus

Four TVs. Three phones. Two consoles. One bill.

Streaming 4K on the den TV. Twitch on the gaming PC. Phones updating in the background. Someone always shouting about the WiFi.

Red carpet treatment. We deliver the fastest connection our network can run to your address. Whole-home mesh included, set up by the same crew that installs the radio.

    Recommended MAX

Pick a plan that fits.

Speeds up to a gigabit, based on what your address can run. Unlimited data on every plan. No contracts on any of them. The price you sign at is the price you pay.

*Estimated capacity. Actual speeds depend on connection type. Symmetric speeds are available on microcell connections with line-of-sight to the tower. FCC Broadband Facts available for each plan.

Your installer is your neighbor.

We don't ship out a national contractor with a clipboard. The person on your ladder lives down the road.

Standard install is free. We're in and out in under two hours for most addresses. A small antenna goes on your roof or eave, one cable runs inside, and your WiFi is up before we leave. If a mesh node makes sense in the back bedroom, we'll set it up too.

If something goes sideways later, call (205) 809-9051. An American answers, usually the same crew that put it in.

Alabama, not Boston

Fiber's fine for Boston. This is Alabama.

Fiber was built for cities laid out on a grid. Trenched into a sidewalk, tied to a pole. It works fine in Boston. Down here, the math doesn't add up. Cletus is out there with a shovel. Leroy didn't call 811. Tornado season takes down the aerial drops. Every spring another pine pulls a line out of a tree.

We don't fight any of that. Our signal goes through the air, tower to home. Some radios punch right through the tree canopy. Others want a cleaner shot to the tower. Either way, no buried lines, no aerial drop, no copper for thieves, no day-long outage because somebody snagged a duct.

And we route Alabama-first. We peer at MGMIX, our state's own internet exchange in Montgomery. Your packets touch Alabama soil before they touch Atlanta's, on the same fabric as Meta, Hurricane Electric, and the State of Alabama.

Buying internet from Alabama Lightwave is an investment in local resiliency.

Competitive speed. None of fiber's drawbacks.

Essential workers

Serving the people who serve.

Firefighters, cops, paramedics, dispatchers, soldiers, teachers, nurses. Every essential worker, on every plan, gets a discount every month. No expiration.

See if you qualify

Questions, answered straight.

  • Is there a contract or early termination fee?

No. Every Alabama Lightwave plan is month to month. Cancel any time, for any reason. We earn the next month every month.

  • Is the data really unlimited, or will you throttle me at some point?

Really unlimited. No caps, no throttling, no overage fees, no fine print waiting in month thirteen. Use what you signed up for.

  • We tried satellite and the lag was unusable. Is wireless different?

Yes. Satellite has to bounce your signal to space and back, which adds 600 to 700 milliseconds of latency on a good day. Our tower link is line-of-sight to a tower a few miles away, so your latency stays in the 10 to 30 millisecond range. Video calls, gaming, and remote desktops all work the way they're supposed to.

  • Will it work for Zoom, Teams, and remote work?

It's what we built it for. Lightwave Plus is the right starting tier for most remote workers. We can add a static IP if your employer's VPN requires one.

  • Can I game on this? What about latency?

Yes. We peer at MGMIX in Montgomery, which sits on the same fabric as Hurricane Electric and most major game backbones, so your packets get where they're going in one short hop. Real customers have clocked ping under 20 milliseconds to popular game servers.

  • How long does install take, and what does it cost?

Standard install is free and usually takes under two hours. We mount a small antenna on your roof or eave, run a single cable inside, and set up your WiFi. Most homes are online the same day the technician arrives.

  • What if I want to upgrade or downgrade my plan later?

Move up or move down any month. No fees. Most customers start on Essential or Plus, and a fair number end up on MAX once they realize how much the family is actually using.

  • How do I know if you cover my address?

Use the availability check. Type your address. If we serve it, you'll see what speeds are available there. If we don't yet, we'll add you to the list and let you know when a tower goes live nearby.

See if we can reach you.

Check your address. If we cover you, we'll have you online in under a week. If we don't yet, we'll let you know. And we'll put you on the list.
